The U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) is issuing a Solicitation for Sao Tome Transmitting Station Decommissioning Support -Hazardous Materials Removal and Off-Island Disposal. USAGM has a requirement for services to identify, collect, containerize, transport and dispsose of hazardous materials (hazmat) and contaminated soils from the USAGM Transmitting Station in Sao Tome, Sao Tome and Principe. There are no hazmat disposal facilities on Sao Tome. Waste must be exported to a country with an appropriate regulatory and disposal infrastructure. Gabon has been identified as a potential receiving country.
