The United States Agency for Global Media (hereby designated as USAGM) operates MW and FM broadcast transmitter sites throughout the country of Afghanistan. Each of these locations have Caterpillar Diesel Generators which provide AC electrical power for USAGM transmitter systems which operate 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. The U.S. Government intends to establish Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract/s with one or more responsible companies that can supply required Caterpillar generator parts, services and supplies. Establishment of an IDIQ contract will be based on the most advantageous prices and delivery times along with other positive performance factors presented by the Contractor. Contractors are advised that while the Government may establish multiple IDIQs, we will only establish the number of IDIQs believed to be sufficient to meet our needs and regulatory competition requirements. The objective of this Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is to acquire maintenance services, repair services, spare parts, and consumable supplies for various models of Caterpillar Generators that support power generation for radio broadcasting operations. USAGM has Diesel Generators located in 17 locations within the borders of Afghanistan, most of the Caterpillar Generators under this contract provide prime power generation to USAGM radio transmitters and are critical to the successful transmission of USAGM and its programming partners radio programs.
