The Social Security Administration (SSA) is conducting a market survey/sources sought to identify businesses that are capable of providing the requirement described herein. This market survey/sources sought announcement is not a request for proposals, and the Government is not committed to issue a solicitation or award a contract pursuant to this announcement or based on responses to this announcement. The information obtained from this market research effort is only for planning purposes and will assist the Government in its acquisition strategy. As such, the Government will not accept questions concerning this synopsis and will not pay any costs incurred in the preparation of information for responding to this market survey or related to the Government's use of any information received. Interested parties responding to this notice must clearly identify any applicable proprietary information. SSA requires a vendor that will provide all supervision, labor, equipment, tools, supplies and materials to repair 157 fire doors at the Frank Hagel Federal Building, 1221 Nevin Avenue, Richmond, CA, 94801, to comply with the NFPA 80 Standard for Fire Doors. The attached Draft Statement of Work explains the requirement in more detail. The attached Inspection Report describes the compliance or non-compliance of each fire exit door in the building. Interested companies with the capability of providing for this requirement, per applicable subcontracting rule limitations (e.g., those in FAR 52.219-3 and 52.219-14), shall submit capability statements that demonstrate their expertise in the aforementioned areas in sufficient detail, including any other specific and relevant information, so that the Government can determine the company's experience and capability to provide for its requirements. Failure to demonstrate the capability of providing for the requirement in response to this market survey may affect the Government's review of the industry's ability to perform or provide these requirements. In addition to capability statements, companies shall include the following information in their responses: 1. Organization name, address, email address, website address, and telephone number; 2. Whether or not they provide this requirement on a GSA contract, and, if so, the applicable GSA contract number and Special Item Number (SIN); 3. Type of business (small vs. large). Small businesses should specify the NAICS codes under which they would qualify as small for this requirement; 4. Comparable business experiences; 5. DUNS number Interested parties shall submit written responses no later than 5:00 PM EST on 07/12/2019 to Joanna Lobl at Joanna.Lobl@ssa.gov.
