This is a presolicitation notice for an upcoming opportunity with the Social Security Administration. The Social Security Administration, Office of Medical Assistance, has an upcoming requirement for licensed physicians in various medical specialties to work as independent contractors reviewing claims/cases of disability determinations, under Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA). The specialties of interest are as follows: Cardiology, General Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedic Surgery, Pulmonology, and Rheumatology. There is no contact with the claimant nor clinical responsibility. Services are as needed. The BPA period of performance will be from approximately August 1, 2024 through May 31, 2026. BPA awardees, or their key personnel, will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance under the BPA. Prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov at the time a quotation is submitted. This acquisition is for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This requirement is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 621111, Offices of Physicians (except Mental Health Specialists). The solicitation will be issued on or about May 1, 2024 in electronic format only and will be available for download on SAM.gov (https://sam.gov/content/opportunities) and on FedConnect (https://www.fedconnect.net) websites. No phone calls are permitted in response to this notice, and no phone, email, or fax request for a copy of the solicitation will be accepted. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading the solicitation and for monitoring the website for possible amendments and/or additional information.
