This notice is amended to state that the solicitation is expected to be issued on or about September 28, 2022. The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires a qualified contractor to provide, unless otherwise noted, all management, supervision, labor, supplies, equipment, and materials necessary for, or incidental to, the folder storage operation at the SSA National Records Center (NRC). The NRC is a Government-Furnished facility located in an underground facility in Independence, MO. It is the final repository for all paper Title II Social Security and Title XVI folders and is responsible for providing these folders to all parts of the Agency as needed. Performance requires top quality customer service, on time delivery of the folders, and immediate re-filing of folders when returned to the SSA NRC. A delay in any of these functions or a reduction in the quality of the storage function would likely result in deteriorated service to the public. Contractor will be required to perform the following: • Operation of Mailrooms/Packaging/Shipping • Remittance Handling • Recalls • Barcoding • Queries • Title XVI Alerts • Title XVI Assembly Control Unit Post Entitlement Lists • Refiles • Recordation • Box Assembly and Maintenance • Identification and Handling of Certain Non-Paper Material • Shipment of All Non-Paper Hearings Media • Drop Files • Validation • Folder Destruction Pull • Compaction • Box Moving • Information Retrieval Group Services • Veterans Benefits Administration Services • Folder Certification Services • Management Information Reports • General Housekeeping Services • Facilities Equipment and Maintenance Services Warehouse Services The performance period includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods (if exercised). This acquisition is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) participants. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 519120 with a size standard of $16.5 million. The solicitation will inform offerors about a site visit.
