This solicitation is 100% small business set-aside. Quotations submitted from other than a small business will be rejected. The Social Security Administration (SSA) issues this solicitation for water treatment services for condenser water system, tepid water system, chilled water system, drinking water chiller system, heating water system, boiler system, and ground water recovery system at the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, CA. The purpose of Amendment number 0001 is to provide answers to interested contractors’ questions and extend the due date for quotes to 5:00 PM Pacific Time on March 10, 2023. Section E-5 provides detailed information on submitting your quotation. Please read the entire Request for Quotation and amendment before proceeding with the preparation of your quotation. You must submit your quotation electronically using the FedConnect system at https://www.fedconnect.net by 5:00 PM Pacific Time on March 10, 2023. We will not consider any quotation received outside of the FedConnect system.

This is a presolicitation notice for an upcoming opportunity with the Social Security Administration. The Social Security Administration has an upcoming requirement for a contractor to provide water treatment services for the Frank Hagel Federal Building in Richmond, California. Contractor shall provide all necessary supervision, labor, chemicals, testing, materials, equipment, and supplies to effectively treat condenser water system, tepid water system, chilled water system, drinking water chiller system, heating water system, boiler system, and ground water recovery system. Contractor shall provide and maintain a chemical feeding and monitoring system, including all other necessary related equipment, capable of ensuring proper and continuous treatment of each water system. The period of performance will be for a base year and four one-year options. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov at the time a quotation is submitted. This acquisition is for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. This is a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 325998. A firm-fixed-price contract is anticipated. The solicitation will be issued on or about February 14, 2023 in electronic format only and will be posted on SAM.gov website under Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities and FedConnect portal at https://www.fedconnect.net. No phone calls are permitted in response to this notice, and no phone, email, or fax request for a copy of the solicitation will be accepted.
