The State and Territorial Exchange of Vital Events (STEVE) system will allow Bureau of Vital Statistics (BVS) agencies to transfer race and ethnicity data files quickly and securely to SSA. This contract will facilitate NAPHSIS setting up the SSA mailbox in the STEVE system and will enable SSA Systems development and testing to obtain, process, and store newborn and parent race and ethnicity data in the Race and Ethnicity Collection System (RECS) through the Enumeration at Birth (EAB) process.
