The Social Security Administration has an upcoming requirement for a qualified contractor to treat, repair, and finish the existing 15,500 square feet of flooring in the first-floor corridor areas of the Social Security Administration, Frank Hagel Federal Building, 1221 Nevin Avenue, Richmond, CA 94801. The contractor shall supply all materials, tools, equipment, labor, and supervision to repair all exposed cracks, replace patches and fillers from prior repairs, create safe, smooth transitions to adjacent flooring types, and replace the existing rubber floor base. The final finish shall be clean and uniform, without structural defects, tripping hazards, uneven surfaces, or blotches. All repairs shall be made in accordance with applicable codes and safety guidelines while minimizing loss or damage to the existing flooring. This is a 100% Historically Underutilized Business (HUBZone) Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238110. All potential contractors performing on-site will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance under the award. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://sam.gov at the time a quotation is submitted. The proposed solicitation number is 28321322QR0900011. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 28, 2022 in electronic format only and will be posted on SAM.gov website under Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities and FedConnect portal at https://www.fedconnect.net. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated. The contractor shall complete the work within approximately 90 calendar days after award. Social Security Administration anticipates this procurement will be awarded using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures.
