The Social Security Administration (SSA) issues this solicitation for painting services for various areas at the Harold Washington Social Security Center in Chicago, Illinois. This is a presolicitation notice for an upcoming opportunity with the Social Security Administration. The Social Security Administration has an upcoming requirement for a contractor to provide painting services for various areas at the Harold Washington Social Security Center in Chicago, Illinois. The requirement is to prepare all surfaces to be painted including patching, sanding, scraping, spackle, priming, taping, cleaning and any other preparation to ensure surfaces are properly prepared for paint that will adhere to and provide a smooth, uniform finished surface. The contractor shall apply contractor-provided paint Sherwin Williams Eggshell ProMar 200 Sandpit SW1085 to designated locations and other low volatile organic compounds, low odor emitting type paint to match existing paint color to other designated locations. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance under the award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238320. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at https://www.sam.gov at the time a quotation is submitted. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated. The contractor shall complete the work within 180 calendar days after award. Social Security Administration anticipates that this procurement will be awarded using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 20, 2022 in electronic format only and will be posted on SAM.gov website under Contract Opportunities at https://sam.gov/content/opportunities and FedConnect portal at https://www.fedconnect.net. No phone calls are permitted in response to this notice, and no phone, email, or fax request for a copy of the solicitation will be accepted.
