This is a solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with the additional information attached to this notice. The Social Security Administration (SSA) issues this solicitation for painting services for the East and West Elevator Lobby and Corridor on Floors 3 through 10 at the Harold Washington Social Security Center in Chicago, Illinois. The period of performance is 120 days from date of award. SITE VISIT: A site visit will be held at the work location at 10:00 AM Central Time on July 20, 2020. If interested in attending the site visit, interested parties should indicate their intent to attend the site visit by submitting an email to Angela.Lee@ssa.gov no later than July 15, 2020 with the name and title of the company representative attending (limit of 2 persons per business concern). We will provide additional site visit information (i.e. precise location, security information, directions, etc.) via email only to the list of interested vendors who properly notify the Contracting Officer of their intent to attend the site visit. For security reasons, individuals not on this list will not be granted access to the facility. This will be the only site visit scheduled. Photography or recording of any type is not permitted during the site visit. The purpose of this site visit is to allow potential quoters the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the worksite and satisfy themselves regarding the general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the requirement, to the extent that information is reasonably obtainable. In no event shall failure to inspect the site constitute grounds for a claim after contract award. Questions regarding areas of uncertainty, which may require clarification or correction, must be requested immediately following the inspection tour by email to Angela.Lee@ssa.gov Section E-6 provides detailed information on submitting your quotation. Please read the entire Request for Quotation before proceeding with the preparation of your quotation. You must submit your quotation electronically using the FedConnect system at https://www.fedconnect.net by 4:30 PM Central Time on July 23, 2020. We will not consider any quotation received outside of the FedConnect system. Please be advised that the contractor selected for award will be required to undergo a security background screening prior to performance of any work. The Social Security Administration has an upcoming requirement for a contractor to provide painting services for the East and West Elevator Lobby and Corridor on Floors 3 through 10 at the Harold Washington Social Security Center in Chicago, Illinois. The requirement is to patch and repair damaged walls, spot prime all repaired areas, apply two coats of paint the walls. Contractor shall apply contractor-provided Sherwin Williams Eggshell ProMar 200 Sandpit SW1085, low volatile organic compounds, and low odor emitting type paint. All potential contractors will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance under the award. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 238320. Prospective contractors shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov prior to award of the purchase order. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated. The contractor shall complete the work within 120 calendar days after award. Social Security Administration anticipates that this procurement will be awarded using FAR Part 12 and 13 procedures. The solicitation will be issued on or about July 10, 2020 in electronic format only and will be posted on the Contract Opportunities (FBO) website at https://beta.sam.gov/search?index=opp and FedConnect portal at https://www.fedconnect.net.
