DETAILS – The Social Security Administration intends to negotiate on a sole sources basis with Dell EMC, located at 8444 Westpark Drive Suite 100 Mclean, VA 22102 for increasing the spending ceiling for Contract SS00-14-61028 which will allow the agency to continue to purchase the storage hardware, software and services from Dell EMC until a new storage Contract can be established. Increasing the contract-spending ceiling will allow the agency to purchase hardware to expand existing equipment purchased during the current 5-year life of Contract SS00-14-61028. In addition, this extends the ability to purchase hardware and software from Contract SS00-14-61028 for one additional year. The Government anticipates award of a single, firm-fixed price contract extension for a one-year period from April 3, 2019 to April 2, 2020. This is not a request for quotation, and the Government does not intend to pay for information received. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
