This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12 and FAR Part 13, as supplemented with the additional information attached to this notice. The Social Security Administration (SSA) issues this solicitation for 1,800 JAWS Kiosk (Job Access With Speech) subscription software license. JAWS is an assistive screen reader, developed from Freedom Scientific's PC-based software for kiosk users whose vision loss prevents them from seeing screen content or navigating with a mouse. JAWS Kiosk software provides speech and Braille output for visually impaired individuals on SSA's accessible kiosks. The period of performance is a one-year base year and four one-year option years.
