The future contract will be an IDIQ covering preventive and remedial maintenance for chillers, open to all businesses regardless of size. The initial performance period will be one 12-month base period plus four option years, with the possibility of renewal for nine additional one-year periods. Services will be performed at Smithsonian facilities in Washington, DC; Suitland and Edgewater, MD; Chantilly and Front Royal, VA; New York, NY; and the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama.
