This announcement is open to all businesses regardless of size. The primary NAICS Code is 561720 (Janitorial Services).The contract awarded will be a Firm Fixed Price, which covers most of the work under the Contract in which the contractor is required to furnish all the services and materials listed for the base contract period and the option year periods. All other items will be handled on an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) bases utilizing the second pricing method of time and materials. The Smithsonian Institution (SI) intends to contract with a firm to provide all coordination, supervision, labor, material, and equipment necessary for the Custodial and Special Event Support Services for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Zoological Park, located in Washington. DC. The Period of Performance is one year for the Base Contract with an additional 9 optional one-year periods. The Request for Proposal (RFP) will consist of two parts. Part 1: Technical Proposal in which the Offerors establish their qualifications in accordance with the Evaluation Standards listed in the SOW and Section L: Part 2: Contract Price. A Subcontracting Plan will be required for all large businesses. Questions pertaining to this RFP will be entertained through to April 24, 2024.
