This is a Request for Information (RFI), issued for planning purposes only, and does not constitute a solicitation. A response to this RFI is needed to assist the United States Postal Service (USPS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) in determining the potential level of interest in and technical capabilities for a potential, but not certain, future solicitation. The USPS OIG is seeking the interest of companies in the development and manufacturing of a compact, 2 Channel DVR to facilitate investigative capabilities where the size of a traditional DVR hinders the ability to covertly install the equipment. In particular, the USPS OIG is interested in a DVR which can be easily hidden in confined areas while being robust enough to withstand multiple removals and installations throughout its life expectancy.
