The Peace Corps requires enterprise licensing for access to an on-line database of medical information which is accessible on a 24/7 basis and is available to all Medical staff at Post as well as medical professionals at the Peace Corps Headquarters in Washington D.C. This web-based electronic database must provide up-to-date clinical medical content and resources to assist in patient education, diagnosis, and management as well as managing users’ Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits for maintaining professional licensure. The purpose of this acquisition is to ensure that the Medical Officers throughout Peace Corps headquarters, regions and Posts will continue to have access to an electronic database containing medical content, medical research, and frequently updated, peer reviewed, state-of-the-art guidance on standards of care, especially in areas that specifically affect Volunteer health and well-being, while simultaneously earning CMEs to maintain their professional certification.
