This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 and 13.5, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a separate written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued under the authority of FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This solicitation is a Request for Quotations (RFQs). The Peace Corps is seeking a Contractor to provide Apple/Macintosh © software and hardware maintenance support services to the Office of Communications at Headquarters in Washington, DC as described in Section 2 “Performance Work Statement” (PWS) of this solicitation. This is a total small business set aside (under $27.5M) under NAICS code 541519 Other Computer Related Services. The Peace Corps intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order for services described in the Performance Work Statement. Award will be made to the responsible, technically acceptable Offeror, whose quote, conforming to the Request for Quotation (RFQ), offers the Best Value to the Government. This Request for Quote (RFQ) does not obligate the government to award a contract and the government will not pay for costs incurred in preparing or submitting quotes. Your attention is invited to the fact that the Contracting Officer is the only individual who can legally commit or obligate the Government to an expenditure of public funds should a contract result by reason of a response to this Request for Quotation. This letter should not be interpreted as a contract or a commitment of any kind on the part of the U.S. Government to award a contract. Furthermore, any contract resulting from this solicitation will be subject to all laws and regulations in effect at the time of the contract award.
