THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) is issuing this Sources Sought Synopsis as a means of conducting market research or as a market survey to determine the availability of potential qualified vendors with the technical capability to provide all management, supervision, administration, and labor for the Nuclear Material Events Database (NMED). Specific activities include: 1) collecting, reviewing, and analyzing nuclear material events; 2) providing event review assessment against existing NRC/Agreement State requirements to support NRC’s nuclear materials assessment staff; 3) technical assistance on specific problems related to nuclear material events; 4) maintaining and upgrading NMED (database. software, and website) and the NMED Agreement State software (local standalone system provided to the State); 5) conducting trending analysis of potential event trends; and 6) developing new procedures and/or modifying existing procedures regarding the use/maintenance of NMED. Services are to be provided to the NRC in Rockville, Maryland. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 541690.
