Request for Information for U.S. National Science Foundation to establish NSF Tech Accelerators
The NSF Tech Accelerators initiative aims to transform basic research into market-ready deep-tech products to strengthen the U.S. economy and national security. It focuses on deep-tech areas under-invested at early stages, requiring significant cost-sharing from proposing teams. The initiative seeks input on program models, organizational structures, and suitable deep-tech areas, with four initial topics: AgTech, MaterialsTech, OceanTech, and SciTech. An informational webinar will be held on June 5, 2026, from 1-2:30 p.m. ET. Prospective NSF Tech Accelerator organizations must be domestic entities and can only respond to one initial topic.
