Expressions of Interest are requested from eligible U.S. institutions to provide a multidecadal drilling vessel to National Science Foundation, Directorate for Geosciences (GEO), Division of Ocean Sciences. It is currently envisioned that the drilling vessel’s acquisition would be supported through a cooperative agreement, a form of financial assistance, governed by 2 CFR, Part 200 (Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards) awarded through a competitive process.
