This proposal opportunity is in response to a NASA Announcement of Opportunity (AO), NNH19ZDA013O which was released on Jul-02, 2019. NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is developing a mission concept called STORM. STORM has been selected to provide a Phase A concept Study Report (CSR). This partnership opportunity is being issued to select a teaming partner to deploy and operate ground-based auroral imagers. The proposed mission is currently in Phase A. This phase ends with a CSR which is due July 7, 2021. The following schedule should be used as a basis for responses to this opportunity: CSR due date - Jul-7-2021 Site Visits - Aug to Oct-2021 (TBD) Down Selection announcement, Phase B Begins - Mar-2022 Begin Phase C - Jul-2023 Begin Phase D - May-2025 Launch Readiness Date (LRD) - Jul-2026 Begin Phase E - Oct-2026 Begin Phase F - Oct-2028 Additional information can be found in the STORM POD ASI Service POD v.3 attachment to this posting.
