NASA’s NLS II procurement remains open through June 30, 2030, with on-ramp provisions allowing new and existing launch providers to propose additional services. The government is currently considering opening an on-ramp opportunity. Eligible launch vehicles must be certifiable to NASA risk mitigation Category 2 or 3 and capable of delivering at least 250 kg to a 200 km orbit at a 28.5-degree inclination. The acquisition is restricted to domestic sources, and offerors must be AS9100 certified by contract award. Existing NLS II contract holders include ULA, Northrop Grumman, SpaceX, and Blue Origin.
