Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is hereby soliciting information regarding potential sources for a new procurement of LIDAR sensors for the On Orbit Servicing, Assembly, and Manufacturing (OSAM-1) Mission. GSFC is seeking a flight proven LIDAR design with low non-reoccurring engineering (NRE) to deliver flight units. OSAM-1 will launch the Space Vehicle (SV) into low Earth orbit with a goal of capturing the Landsat 7 (LS7) satellite and refueling its propellant tanks with enough fuel to extend its operational life. Additionally, it has a goal to demonstrate the robotic assembly, and manufacturing of new structures in space. The rendezvous and proximity operations (RPO) subsystem of OSAM-1 is responsible for safely moving the SV to a prescribed relative position and orientation for autonomous robotic capture of LS7. RPO utilizes inertial and relative sensors to complete the rendezvous. The LIDAR is a key relative sensor. See attachment "OSAM-1 Lidar RFI 8-14-23" for the information requested and the instructions for response submittal.
