This is a five-year framework to support future NASA contracts for developing deep space exploration capabilities, effective through September 26, 2029. It will issue periodic solicitations for studies, research, and technology development to enable long-term human presence and exploration, aligning with NASA's Moon to Mars strategy. The framework itself is not a solicitation. Specific opportunities, including detailed requirements and evaluation criteria, will be announced later as individual appendices. Contracts awarded can continue beyond the 2029 framework end date.
