The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Kennedy Space Center (KSC) Office of Procurement has extended the current sole-source contract, NNK16OM16P, with United Launch Services, LLC. The modification extends the period of performance from September 30, 2022 to March 31, 2023 for continued support required for storage and handling of liquid hydrogen at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS) in support of the Space Launch System (SLS) Artemis 1 launch. The extension is based upon the exclusion found at Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1 and 41 United States Code 3304(a)(1), which authorizes other than full and open competition when there is only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
