NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is supporting a sole-source award to Lockheed Martin for continued Hubble Space Telescope mission operations and systems engineering support. The work includes ground and test facility operations, ground and information system support, network and security administration, flight systems engineering, systems integration and test, system management, and flight software maintenance. The required period of performance is July 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027. NASA/GSFC extended the existing Lockheed Martin contract under the authority that only one responsible source can satisfy the requirement. Lockheed Martin Space is deemed to have unique, mission-critical HST-specific knowledge and over three decades of specialized experience needed to sustain safe, low-risk HST operations and science.
