NASA/Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement for vibration and post-vibration verification testing of the 20W 20K Cryocooler. NASA/GRC intends to issue a modification to a sole source contract to acquire the service of for the vibration and post-vibration verification testing of the 20W 20K Cryocooler. Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This synopsis is for a modification of existing Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) contract NNC14CA15C that was awarded on 12/01/2014. The purpose of this synopsis is to modify the existing statement of work (SOW) to add the requirement of the vibration and post-vibration verification testing of the 20W 20K Cryocooler that meets requirements of the attached SOW. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Linda Nabors at linda.m.nabors@nasa.gov not later than 5:00 EDT on October 25, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
