Design, fabrication and implementation of a microwave heating device for the sintering/densification of lunar regolith simulant. This is to include the initial COTS based system (Phase I, FY 2021-2022) as well as the pre-flight prototype (Phase II, FY 2023-2024). It is anticipated that after these design phases, that the Contractor will be engaged in similar activities for a flight-ready system (Phase III, beyond FY 2024) that will be integrated into flyable platform. These services will primarily focus on the design of the microwave hardware system.
