The MMPACT project will focus on the utilization of lunar in-situ materials for the manufacturing construction of large-scale infrastructure elements like habitats, berms, landing pads, blast shields, walkways, floors, storage facilities, and roads. The Microwave Structure Construction Capability (MSCC) team will develop microwaves as a means to prepare and consolidate the Lunar regolith into a solid glass/ceramic structure, characterize and protect vehicle from volatiles, and verify that the product meets design requirements.
