NASA Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) intends to issue a sole source contract to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation for the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) Phase E operations and sustainment. The contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the spacecraft and ground support equipment supporting operations of the JWST Observatory. The JWST Phase E contract will begin at contract award through 5 years after launch. The contract award will align with the completion of commissioning and the end of the current JWST contract occurring at launch plus one year. The contractor is responsible for providing the engineering services necessary to maintain and support JWST Observatory operations including observatory engineering support; flight software maintenance; anomaly resolution support; maintenance of the simulator, testbed, and software development lab; and end of mission support. Provision of these services is further detailed in the attached statement of work.
