This justification provides the rationale for contracting by other than full and open competition to award an extension modification to contract number 80ARC017C0002 with MIRACORP, Inc. The proposed action is to extend services of Ames Professional Administrative Support Services (APASS) functions to support NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) activities for six months. The work and services covered by current contract are vital to the NASA mission and must be maintained without interruption pending completion of the competitive efforts for the successor contract award. The contractor shall provide contract management functions, as well as multidisciplinary administrative support to the requesting organizations at ARC. The administrative services required under this contract shall be provided primarily at the Moffett Field site. Contractor personnel may be required to travel to temporary off-site locations. Functional areas supported are: General Clerical and Administrative Support, Event and Conference Support, Technical Writing and Editing, Library Services, and Human Resources Services.
