NASA intends to award a sole-source order to Peraton for annual licensing and maintenance support needed for the Artemis program to continue using Peraton software in launch operations. This support is critical to NASA’s Artemis campaign and its mission to safely land humans on the lunar surface. The Artemis campaign’s timeline and mission dates are vital, and delays from developmental challenges could result in mission failure. The order is necessary to ensure development of a lunar landing capability is complete in time to support NASA’s Artemis missions. Additional rationale is provided in the attached justification for other than full and open competition.
