Objective/Requirements NASA AS42 Marine Operations has a requirement for intermittent hull inspections on the NASA Barge Pegasus between shipyard periods. AS42 also has a need to perform dock inspections periodically to ensure the safe mooring of Pegasus. 2. Characteristics, Scope, and Specs The contractor shall provide equipment/service to perform the following duties: • Provide an underwater visual of the bottom of Pegasus hull and submerged components of docks. • Locally store images. • Be able to self-stabilize and not be affected by a mild current or vessel prop wash. • Controllable from shore and be recoverable if connection to the user is lost. • Have the capability to perform ultrasonic thickness testing on the hull of Pegasus and generate report. • Be tethered and able to hold entire weight of device by the tether for ease of deployment/recovery. • Be modular in design to add ancillary attachments such as sonar. • Offer online or in-person training to use equipment. 3.
