Specification of Gas Permeability Tester NASA Langley Research Center Thermoplastic Cryotank Team needs a gas permeability tester to measure gas permeability (oxygen and/or etc.) of carbon fiber reinforced polymer composite samples. The specification of the permeability tester is: (1) Gas Permeability Tester for Polymer Sheet: a. Shall have Differential-Pressure Method or coulometric sensor method; b. Shall have 1 Chamber or 2 Chambers; c. Shall meet Standards of more than two of ASTM D1434, ISO 2556, ISO 15105-1 or ASTM D3895, ASTM F1927, ASTM F1307, DIN 53380, JIS K716, ISO CD15105-2; d. Shall have a Test Range of about 0.02 ~ 30,000 cm3(m2?24h) or similar; e. Shall test gas of at least Oxygen; Other additional test gas of hydrogen is preferred; f. Shall test Accuracy of 0.01 cm3(m2?24h) or similar; Temperature Range of about 5 ~ 40°C; Precision of about 0.01°C; Test Area of about 5 ~ 50 cm2; Sample Diameter of about 15 ~ 110 mm; g. Shall have Maximum Sample Thickness of about 2 or 3 mm; Standard Sample; h.
