NASA/NSSC has a requirement for space-flight qualified S-band coaxial cable assemblies. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. [GORE] under the authority of ... NASA/NSSC has a requirement for space-flight qualified S-band coaxial cable assemblies. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to W.L. Gore & Associates, Inc. [GORE] under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). Based on its past performance, material, outgassing, power handling, and multipaction GORE was the only vendor found that makes assemblies that can handle the RF power required for the PACE mission. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort on behalf of NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Performance will be at the vendors site. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334419. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort by email to dorothy.s.baskin@nasa.gov not later than 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 5, 2020, Eastern Time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
