NASA/NSSC has a requirement for ultra-high vacuum cryocooler system. NASA/NSSC has a requirement for ultra-high vacuum cryocooler system. [Statement of Work attached] NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to Advanced Research Systems, Inc [ARS, Inc.] under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i). To the best of NASA/GSFC’s knowledge and belief the components are proprietary to ARS Inc and must be compatible with the spectrometer system currently in use in the SPICE lab. NASA/NSSC will be the procuring center for this effort on behalf of NASA/ Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC). Performance will be performed at the vendors site. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 334516. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort by email to dorothy.s.baskin@nasa.gov not later than 11:59 p.m., Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Eastern Time. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
