NASA/Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) Engineering Organization has a requirement for an Extended Warranty on Concept Laser Equipment at MSFC. This procurement will be comprised of warranties only - specifically for the M2, XLINE 2000R, and XLINE 1000R systems - to perform repairs, upgrades, and preventive maintenance operations for one year. NASA/MSFC intends to issue a sole source purchase order to acquire the warranties materials on the Concept Laser Equipment from General Electric Company, GE Additive division. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact (charles.w.farrior@nasa.gov) no later than 10/02/2021 by 4:00 P.M. CST. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for determining whether to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
