Feasibility Study for Payload Processing Facility for Nuclear Operations
NASA is seeking a feasibility study to assess the capability of an existing or contractor-owned Payload Processing Facility (PPF), completed by January 1, 2028, to support future nuclear missions. The study is not a procurement for facility design or construction, and NASA will not guarantee use of any PPF. Offerors must demonstrate a facility location capable of supporting nuclear material transport between Kennedy Space Center/Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Idaho National Laboratory by the January 1, 2028 deadline. The contract will be awarded based on technical approach, proof of facility location (lease or ownership), and pricing for the nuclear study and a Technology Assistance Agreement with an international partner. No specific budget amount is provided in the description.
