Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) Draft Request for Proposal
NASA is updating its Commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Destination Contract (CLDC) draft RFP by posting initial responses to industry comments, a public interested parties list, and a slightly revised draft RFP letter and statement of work (content unchanged). A virtual pre-proposal conference will be held on July 9, 2026, and in-person one-on-one meetings for prime offerors and transportation providers will take place July 13–15, 2026, at Johnson Space Center. The contract would acquire a commercially owned and operated LEO destination to succeed the ISS, covering design, development, certification, transportation, and operational missions. NASA intends to use industry feedback to finalize the RFP and encourages monitoring SAM.gov for future updates. This notice is for planning purposes only and is not a request for proposals.
