Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Transportation Request for Information
NASA is seeking information to shape its future acquisition strategy for crew and cargo transportation to commercial Low Earth Orbit (LEO) stations, aiming to maintain a continuous U.S. presence after the International Space Station. The agency is evaluating transition options and seeks to prevent a detrimental transportation gap, with an estimated future annual demand of 2 crew and 4-5 cargo missions, plus potential commercial demand. Input is requested from both incumbent providers, on sustaining services and reducing costs, and new entrants, on their credible path to certification and entry into the market. This is a Request for Information (RFI) for planning purposes only and is not a formal solicitation. Responses are due by April 08, 2026.
