NASA/Johnson Space Center (JSC) has a requirement for the build, test and delivery of twenty-five (25) matching male/female pairs of stainless steel quick disconnects (QDs). Also, to complete an engineering evaluation on the feasibility to build one (1) matching male/female pair of titanium QD. NASA/JSC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire QDs services from Outpost Technologies, Inc. due to their previous proven manufacturing capability of QDs, and the Government’s need for additional reliable suppliers of QDs. NASA/JSC intends to contract with Outpost Technologies, Inc. for these services on a sole source basis in accordance with FAR 19.502-2 Total small business set-asides. Outpost Technologies, Inc. is a small business concern. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Kendrea Vallien kendrea.d.vallien@nasa.gov not later than 5:00 P.M Central Standard Time on December 06, 2022. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
