NSEETS Contract Ceiling Increase for Continued NASA Support
NASA/GSFC intends to increase the maximum ordering value of its NSEETS contract with The Aerospace Corporation on a sole source basis to ensure uninterrupted specialized engineering, evaluation, and test services. NSEETS provides on- and off-site project and multidisciplinary engineering, testing, consulting, contractor-on-site monitoring, and program/project evaluation, including safety and mission assurance, plus project management, systems/discipline engineering, and business/resource management support. Performance is onsite at NASA facilities (AFRC, AMES, GRC, GSFC, HQ, JSC, KSC, LaRC, MSFC, and SSC) and offsite at the contractor’s facilities. NASA states the contract is approaching its maximum ordering value earlier than expected due to focus on lunar exploration, Mars missions, advanced space technologies, and commercial partnerships, and that Aerospace is uniquely qualified as a U.S. Air Force Federally Funded Research and Development Center. This is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested organizations may submit capabilities/qualifications for the government to consider whether to conduct the procurement competitively.
