NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC) has a requirement for production of spare parts for a the Sunpower Robust Stirling Convertor (SRSC). NASA GRC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the items from SUNPOWER INC. of Athens, Ohio under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice should not be confused with NASA Glenn Research Center’s ongoing contract effort under 80GRC023CA024, titled Sunpower Robust Stirling Converter (SRSC) Support and Prototypes. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may review Attachment A – Statement of Work and submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Ian Park, Contracting Officer (email address provided under POC) not later than 4:30PM EDT on July 11, 2024. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
