The NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) Facilities Engineering Branch is responsible for providing professional architectural engineering, construction management and related project management required in support of Center facilities activities. The Facilities Engineering Branch provides services that include facility master planning, facility architectural engineering design, facility construction management, energy, and water conservation program management, facility space utilization assessments, real property management, and engineering services to NASA staff, NASA support contractors, and other federal and non-federal resident agencies. NASA/ARC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire A&E Support Services from AECOM Technical Services Inc. (AECOM)and intends to extend contract number 80ARC017C0008 on a sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), and FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Therefore, an extension to Contract Number 80ARC017C0008 for a base of 4-months, and four 2-month options is necessary to continue these mission-critical services without interruption. The period of performance will be extended as follows: Base Period: March 14, 2023, to July 13, 2023 Option Period One: July 14, 2023, to September 13, 2023 Option Period Two: September 14, 2023, to November 13, 2023 Option Period Three: November 14, 2023, to January 13, 2024 Option Period Four: January 14, 2024, to March 13, 2024 Each extension will be exercised as needed to allow sufficient time for determining requirements as deemed appropriate to meet an agency wide solution. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to (Anna Foreman at anna.m.foreman@nasa.gov) not later than Noon Pacific on February 15, 2023. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
