NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center has a requirement for Rolls Royce MK511-8 SPEY Engine Servicing & Exchange Standard Aero Corporation is the only company offering the 5Y2K Work scope of Spey 511-8 (MK511-8) Engines in accordance with Rolls-Royce (RR) Non-Modification Service Bulletin SP72-666 Appendix 5, Revision 26, as well as Accessory Rework requirements. Standard Aero Corporation has declared the last date of induction to be January 2026. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Sarah DeRoche, sarah.a.deroche@nasa.gov and Cheryl Shastid, cheryl.shastid@nasa.gov no later than 12:00pm on June, 6, 2025, titled “80AFRC25PA004 Capability/Qualification Statement”. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
