NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (NASA/AFRC) has a requirement to enter into contracts with Aerocardal to lease building/office spaces and infrastructure services to support SOFIA 747SP aircraft while it is deployed in Santiago Chile. Services include, internet, internet infrastructure, office furniture, printers, stand for network connection to the aircraft, LAN infrastructure, MiFI, import/export assistance, and avionics tool rental. NASA/AFRC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the services from Aerocardal Limitada, Calle Diego Barros Ortiz 2065, Aeropuerto Internacional Arturo Merino BenÃtez (SCL) (e.g., Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport), Santiago Chile. Authority for this action is Federal Acquisition Regulation is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(1) - Only one responsible source. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Rosalia Toberman at rosalia.toberman-1@nasa.gov and Gail Anton at gail.t.anton@nasa.gov not later than 12:00pm PST on Feb 15, 2022. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
