This notification serves as an update to the GEWA Cafeteria, Vending, and Catering Concessionaire Services procurement, as originally posted on August 12, 2020. The Government anticipates releasing the Request For Proposal (RFP) in Early to Mid September 2020. A site visit will be held following the release, but prior to the proposal due date. Thank you for your continued interest in the procurement. NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for commercial services to provide cafeteria, vending, and catering to GSFC employees, contractors and visitors. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 722310 and $41.5M, respectively. The anticipated release date of the RFP (Solicitation Number 21-EXCHANGEFOODSVCS) is on or about August 25, 2020. The resultant agreement will be a Concessionaire Agreement with the Goddard Employees Welfare Association (GEWA) for the operation of two (2) cafeterias, two (2) marketplace cafes, vending food service operations, and catering services. GEWA is an employee exchange that supports employees of the GSFC, Greenbelt Campus located in Greenbelt, MD. The period of performance for the agreement will be a five-year base period plus two (2) options (one (1) – 3-year & one (1) – 2-year) for a total of 10 years. The anticipated start date will be June 1, 2021. A site visit is tentative and the synopsis will be updated with the scheduling information. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Internet site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
