MCC is seeking in-country expertise to provide MCC with insights about the operational challenges that may be faced by potential project investments within Indonesia. MCC will require: rapid and ongoing assessment of local government’s abilities to adhere to MCC principles (for example, country ownership for a possible MCC investment, and commitment to policy and institutional reforms and long-term sustainability) and to meet our operational requirements (for example, IFC Performance Standards, tax exemption); a general understanding of non-state actors that wield policymaking influence within the localities in question both during the selection phase and after local governments have been recruited for participation in a possible MCC investment.
