It also makes slight corrections to the pricing structure and minor changes to Section L. Please see the attached amendment for the specific changes. - - - Amendment 1: Amendment 1 answers questions from potential offerors, replaces an attachment, and slightly modifies small sections of the solicitation. - - - The Library of Congress is releasing this solicitation in accordance with FAR Part 12. The Library seeks to purchase Digital Talking Book Machines (DTBMs) based on existing commercial products. The Library currently has an aging inventory of close to 500,000 DTBMs, which it is seeking to augment and replace as they become unserviceable. The Library is exploring new ways to deliver service but expects to be providing service to a sizable proportion of its patrons with books on digital talking book cartridges played on Library-provided players for many years. The ultimate contractor(s) chosen for award shall manufacture and deliver DTBMs. The devices shall meet or exceed the requirements defined in the solicitation and its attachments. The contractor(s) shall provide full product support including system documentation, user guides, compliance with applicable laws, warranty, repair and maintenance, spare parts, and software enhancements using an agile development methodology for the life of delivered devices.
