As a result of this Q&A, section C is also slightly amended to reflect the answers to the questions. - - - Amendment 1: The purpose of this amendment is to reduce the minimum qualifications necessary for two of the key personnel positions as well as add a new third key personnel position. - - - This is a combined synopsis/solicitation being issued under the authority of FAR 13.5. The scope of this contract is to acquire an Inspection Contractor to provide services to assist the inventory management projects to inspect and review the collection and record data contained within the Library of Congress Integrated Library System (LC ILS) or other databases. This includes inspecting and reviewing collections storage locations, ensuring basic data control of items selected for transfer to off-site storage, including but not limited to verifying the integrity of bibliographic, holdings, item and location data, and to prepare items selected for transfer off-site. This supports the Inspection of Production Lots program for the Library of Congress' Preservation Directorate. Please see the attached documents for the solicitation and its attachments.
